everything looks better at night

As much as having a dog is sort of a pain for this cat person — the darn things have to be taken out and walked, can you believe that? — there is an upside.

Walking around the neighborhood at night. Seeing the stars. Taking a break from the television, the computer screen, the myriad screens that make up our modern lives,  or even just the house.

It's pretty out here. And quiet. Everything looks brighter, sharper at night.
