My dad had just turned 16 less than two weeks before December 7, 1941. At 17 he enlisted in the Coast Guard and was a radarman second class on a destroyer escort for the rest of the war.

What was his ship #? My dad was on LST #21 “Blackjack Maru”.
I had to check with my brother. : )
